About David Golzio
With an innovative artistic vision and a multidisciplinary approach, I work within contemporary art across photography, digital art, and artificial intelligence, transforming concepts and ideas into images that explore the relationship between reality and imagination and generate new forms of visual interpretation.
David Golzio is a self-taught Italian contemporary artist born in 1992 in Bollate, near Milan. His research develops across photography, digital art, and artificial intelligence, structured through the practice of Hybrid Metaphotography — a visual language investigating the boundary between reality, imagination, and generative systems, positioned between crypto art and contemporary visual research.
After a technical education in chemistry at ITCS Primo Levi in Bollate and later at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Chemical Sciences and Technologies, he developed an analytical and experimental approach that deeply influences his artistic methodology.
Since 2016 he has worked as a photographer, building a visual language that gradually moves away from traditional photography toward hybrid systems between real imagery and digital construction. In 2021 he entered the crypto art ecosystem, integrating NFTs, blockchain, and generative processes into his practice. During this phase, his research expanded toward an integration of photography and artificial intelligence, defining the core of Hybrid Metaphotography.
Between 2021 and 2022 he worked as a cinematographer at 21ilab in Milan, consolidating his audiovisual language through commercial production.
2023 marks a fundamental shift: his works are presented in international exhibitions across Europe, the United States, and Asia, including Sloika's World Photography Day in Bali, NFT DET in Detroit, and NOT Built in a Day at Maison Bosi in Rome, curated by Serena Tabacchi (MoCDA). In the same period he participates in the MOCA Fundraiser, bringing together 713 artists and 713 works — one of the most significant collective moments in contemporary crypto art.
In 2024 he exhibits at NFT NYC in New York and is included in the publication "222 Emerging Artists to Invest In / 2024" curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi for Exibart, as well as being featured in Art Share Magazine. During this phase he consolidates his presence in the international contemporary digital art circuit.
Between 2025 and 2026 his research expands further into the European urban context. He participates in NFT NYC and the Blockchain Futuristic Conference in Miami, and joins the exhibition "Art on Plaza: Sacred Art 3.0" in Rome. In 2026 he begins an ongoing collaboration with Artcrush Gallery, with billboard and urban screen exhibitions across Brussels, Milan, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Portugal, bringing Hybrid Metaphotography into the public space.
His current research continues to evolve across photography, artificial intelligence, and generative systems, exploring the relationship between perception, technology, and image construction in contemporary art.
