Hybrid Metaphotography Goes Global
Artcrush Gallery — international tour of Hybrid Metaphotography by David Golzio. July 2026, 9 countries, 4 continents, 36 venues across 8 countries plus traveling taxi-top installations in New York. Recent exhibition.
The exhibition
After June's European leg, David Golzio's Hybrid Metaphotography takes the step that changes the scale of the entire project. In July, the same works reach nine countries across four continents: from the billboards of Ginza to the streets of Bucharest, from Indian airports to Berlin neighborhoods, from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Rotterdam and Amsterdam — all the way to New York, where the works don't even have a fixed home: they travel by taxi.
It's no longer just Europe responding to the same images with different accents. The question grows bigger: what stays the same when a work crosses not a language, but an entire hemisphere? This July, the same Hybrid Metaphotography exists, in the very same month, alongside a South African winter and a Japanese summer, in step with the rhythm of Tokyo and of New York.
Nine countries, four continents, a tour that had so far played out only in European contexts — every site, as always, was confirmed before the month began. The direction is clear: Hybrid Metaphotography no longer belongs to one continent. It belongs to anyone, anywhere, who stops to look.
"One more continent doesn't change what an image means. It only changes who happens to be looking at it." David Golzio

Photo documentation
Hybrid Metaphotography works as they appear on Indian billboards, on New York's traveling screens, and at the Dutch and Finnish venues of the tour. The collection is still growing and will expand as the other stops are documented.
Exhibition video
Three videos document the installations in India, the Netherlands, and Finland, across airport billboards and urban screens.

The artist — David Golzio
David Golzio is a photographer and contemporary artist, the creator of the technique he coined Hybrid Metaphotography: a fusion of photography and artificial intelligence that suspends the image between the real and the imagined.
His work was featured in Exibart's "222 Emerging Artists to Invest In" (2024) and has traveled through international exhibition venues — from Bali to NFT NYC 2025, from Milan to major European cities.
Works such as "6+1 Ricordi" and "Lotta interiore" also exist as certified physical editions through Cinello DAW®, a further bridge between the work's digital dimension and its material presence.
The gallery — Artcrush Gallery
Artcrush Gallery specializes in exhibiting contemporary digital art in public urban spaces — billboards, jumbo screens, illuminated installations. An exhibition model that democratizes access to art and takes artists' work beyond traditional circuits.
The collaboration with David Golzio began in December 2025 with the first exhibitions in Northern Italy, and expanded rapidly throughout 2026: Brussels in March, the UK, Finland, and Portugal in May, then Finland, Spain, Romania, and the UK in June. Starting in July, the project goes intercontinental, with installations in nine countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
The July stop marks the first true leap beyond European borders: from the Ginza district in Tokyo to the streets of Bucharest, from Indian airports to Berlin's neighborhoods, from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Rotterdam and Amsterdam, all the way to the taxis of New York — the same work measures itself against four continents in a single month for the first time.
