A private event photography session doesn't capture the party you planned on paper. It captures the one that actually happened, with everything that wasn't on the schedule.
The most common thing I hear before an event is some version of the same request: "we don't want a photographer getting in the way," "we want it to look real, not everyone stiff and staring at the lens." It's a fair ask — and it's exactly why I work the way I do.
Before the event, we put together a short list of shots that can't be missed — grandparents, close friends, the whole group from college. Everything else I let unfold on its own: I move through the crowd, listen to conversations, and wait for the moment someone stops posing and just goes back to being themselves. That's usually where the photos people keep coming back to are born.

You don't need a script. You need to know where to look.
Every event has a few moments that repeat, and a few that happen once and never again. My job is spotting them in time. Here's what I try to bring home from every shoot.
Arrival & Setup
The details before the party gets going: the table setting, the last-minute touches, that good kind of tension when everything's ready and the first guests haven't arrived yet. Great for Themed Parties & Graduations.
Candid Moments
Glances, laughter, hugs between people who aren't posing. It's the most important part of the coverage — the part nobody can fake on command. In every package.
Planned Group Shots
Before the event we agree on a short list — grandparents, close friends, the whole class — so during the party it just takes a couple of minutes, nothing more. On request.

I live and work in Bollate, just outside Milan. I've been photographing private events since 2016: birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, 18th birthdays, themed parties. Over the years I've learned one thing that holds true for any celebration: if guests notice me too much, I've already lost something. My job is to stay close enough to catch the moment, and far enough back not to ruin it.

I don't spend the evening organizing group shots on demand. We agree on a short list upfront, and the rest is free-flowing reportage among your guests — no "everyone stop, look here."
I read the room
I know when to move in and when to hang back: a toast doesn't happen twice, and neither does an unplanned dance-off. I've learned to move through a space without drawing attention to myself.
Minimal gear, maximum discretion
No bulky lighting rigs cluttering up the room, unless a specific portrait calls for it and we've agreed on it beforehand. The goal is to stay part of the party, not become the center of it.
Photo-by-photo editing
Every image is edited individually, not run through one blanket filter for the whole event. Light and color get balanced case by case, room by room.

01 · Birthday — From €350 · 2 hours
For a birthday, at any age. Whether it's a kid's first birthday or a surprise party for an adult, the coverage adapts to the day's pace. For younger kids, I follow the games and expressions without stopping anything; for adults, I focus more on portraits and moments of connection. Either way, the candle shot never gets skipped — it's the one everyone wants to see first.
02 · Anniversary & Special Occasions — From €440 · 3 hours
For celebrating time spent together. A silver anniversary, a first year together, a family milestone: every anniversary carries a different weight, and I treat it accordingly. Beyond covering the celebration itself, I always set aside time for portraits of the people at the center of it, away from the noise of the room. On request, I can also put together a custom album or prints.
03 · Themed Parties & Exclusive Events — From €550 · 3 hours
For a party built around every detail. A Gatsby-themed night, an '80s throwback, a gala in a villa, or an exclusive dinner at a private venue — when there's a set built around a theme, it deserves as much attention as the people. Part of the coverage goes to the décor — lighting, table settings, costumes — and the rest to the guests, who usually end up having more fun than expected, precisely because the theme takes the pressure off being photographed.
04 · Graduation — From €550 · 6 hours
For the day years of studying turn into a degree. This is one of the few packages I cover for a full day: from the wait outside the exam hall, to the proclamation with cap and diploma, to the celebration with friends and family that afternoon. The longer coverage is exactly for that — so neither the tension of the exam nor the toast two hours later gets missed.
05 · 18th Birthday — From €436 · 3 hours
For the shift into adulthood. The 18th birthday is often the first big event someone plans for themselves, and it shows: a carefully picked outfit, a venue chosen with care, a playlist months in the making. The coverage follows the whole night, from the first toast to the moment the dance floor fills up, without ever asking for a pose to be redone.
